Leonie Lang, Friday, 12 October 2012 Members of the local pony clubs Bullengarook, Gisborne and Riddells Creek turned out in force to the pyjama party held by the Sunbury Horseland on October 11th.
The occasion was to introduce the new store manager, Bree, shown in the picture above between Bev Gardiner (left) and Sue French. Not a pony club uniform in sight, but plenty of pyjamas and a token pony to pat.
In true party style, there was also popcorn, fairyfloss, cakes, ballons, face painting and a colouring competition.
Some of the littlies watched "My little pony" on TV while other checked out the merchandise and their mothers tried on boots.
The highlight of the afternoon was the sleeping bag race competition. This was to be hotly contested for store merchandise prizes and the best of all - a clinic on Show Preparation with Bev Gardiner. Bev is a Garryowen winner and the daughter of Edie Thomas, a foundation member of the PCAV State Council and first CZ Rep.
First, the very little people had a turn
. Assistance was allowed. This one was too fast for the camera. Bev awarded them all medals.
The club teams had four members, two at each end. They had to pass on the sleeping bag at each changeover. It was very exciting, with much encouragement from the cheer squads on the sidelines.

Then it was the Mums' turn, and the kids cheered from the sideline . Lucky winners
And some boots were purchased.
