Well done to all riders who competed with such fine team spirit at the Central Zone Games, Flat Teams and Musical Ride Championships at Oaklands on Sunday March 27. Special congratulations to those who will represent the zone at the State Championships at Bacchus Marsh in June. You have a long time to keep practising and improve your skills. In odd years, Central Zone is only guaranteed to enter two teams, but extra places are ballotted so 3rd and possibly even 4th placed teams may be offered entry. We won't know until after entries close. At the presentations we bid a fond farewell to Andrew Rodaughan, who, after 20 years at Whittlesea, Kilmore and Riddells Creek, is in his last year at pony club. Andrew has been a fine role model for younger riders, and characteristically, spent the morning, when he wasn't actually competing, helping little tackers whose ponies wouldn't cooperate.
